It was Don Guanella who named some of his works after Saint Joseph.
After him his religious have continued to dedicate houses and parishes to him and to spread the Pious Union in the various parts of the world where Guanellian charity has reached.

Don Guanella in the operetta In the month of flowers of 1884, in which he offers a reflection on the Madonna for each day of the month of May, reaching the twelfth day he explains the perseverance of Mary and Joseph in search of accommodation in Bethlehem, on the eve of the birth of Jesus. He concludes by urging us not to resign ourselves to adverse cases in life and to exercise patience, because "patience is learned more by practicing it in action than by learning it from books".

The construction of the San Luigi Guanella Center in Iași is progressing. It will be both a home for the poor and a school for young Guanellians.
With the decisive contribution of the Pious Union of Saint Joseph.

«The teaching of fragility is a charism – this is one of the central passages of Pope Francis' message for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities – and you, sisters and brothers with disabilities, can enrich the Church; your presence can help transform the realities in which we live, making them more human and more welcoming."

The process of beatification of the Guanellian Giovanni Vaccari has begun

by B. Capparoni

Last April 23, Bishop Don Manuel Herrero Fernandez of
Palencia opened the Process to recognize Christian virtues
heroics of the Guanellian Giovanni Vaccari, who died in Spain in 1971

IThe journey that took me to Spain during Easter week had a purpose certainly unknown to the travelers who made the same journey with me. Moreover, it is not easy to explain that a Process is being held in order to proclaim (hopefully in a not too distant time!) the sanctity of a Christian; trials usually have other conclusions!
