Dearest Father Mario,

in these years, since the Pope assigned me as my titular Church in Rome, as Cardinal, San Giuseppe al Trionfale, I have had many opportunities to know and appreciate his spiritual and cultural preparation and also his friendship towards me.

An eloquent example of this profound spirituality of hers is the beautiful little volume she published with the title "Fragments of an eloquent silence". I had the opportunity to read some pages and find very profound thoughts and reflections and the choice to divide the reflections taking inspiration from each letter of the name Joseph, our dear patron saint, was also original.

Now, however, I feel the obligation to thank you greatly for having wanted to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of my episcopal ordination in the beautiful magazine "La Santa Crociata in honor of San Giuseppe".

His was a gesture of great closeness of prayer and friendship which at the same time I hope that the readers of the magazine who see his article with my photograph can remember me in their prayers.

I also wish you all the best of good health in this time so characterized by the need to protect yourself from the coronavirus, and to this end I assure you of my prayers that you may always enjoy excellent health.

Know that San Giuseppe al Trionfale is in my heart and I hope that you too remember me in your prayers.

Eminence,

thank you for your words towards me, but above all for encouraging readers to reflect on the eloquent  silence of Saint Joseph who speaks  whispering words that require the desire to listen and understand this primer of a man who speaks to his woman with words of God and, above all, acts by faithfully obeying his mission.

Thanks again, Eminence, I ask for your blessing and I will send you copies of the booklet as soon as the printer has printed it.

In December  we'll have a meeting  with the Giuseppini of Murialdo and the Oblates of Asti, I will keep you informed on the planned initiatives. Perhaps you too could be present here at the Trionfale on 5 and Sunday 6 December for the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of the Patronage, presiding over the Holy Eucharist. We will also talk about it with Don Tullio Locatelli and the Oblates of Asti.
