5,8% of young Europeans between 15 and 29 years old live in a situation of serious material and social deprivation. The percentage of those living in a situation of serious difficulty compared to the total population is 6,4%. This was stated today by Eurostat, publishing the data relating to 2024.

La Caritas of Rome drafted and presented to the Lazio region a programmatic document to reiterate that mental health is a fundamental right that is still unfulfilled and that, in Rome and Lazio, people with mental disorders face serious difficulties. It is also highlighted that the problem in Rome is constantly increasing, involving more and more people, including young people, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. It is estimated that 45.000 families are involved in Rome and 70.000 in Lazio.
