Nothing is thrown away: good practices in times of Covid

We would like to highlight some winners of the "Non Waste" Award, including Prof. Claudia Gentili and principal of the "Elisa Scala" comprehensive school in Rome. 
When it was necessary to prepare the classrooms for the resumption of school last September, the principal preferred not to throw away the old desks but to modify and reuse them, avoiding waste and money.
In the municipality of Motta di Licenza, in the province of Treviso, an old landfill has been transformed into a large forest with games for children and spaces equipped for sports. 
The Potentino Onlus Association in Calabria collects leftover bread from supermarkets and shops and uses it as raw material to make beer. With the money earned from this drink, bottled and sold online, the association finances a supermarket where the poorest families do their shopping for free.
