The XVII National Meeting of the Guanellian Youth Movement (M25G) will take place in Florence from 28 to 2 April, focusing on the theme «Let us walk in love, let us walk in charity. #you can't stop", recalling both the words of Pope Francis at the Angelus on 12 August 2018 addressed to young people in view of the Synod and the exhortation of Saint Luigi Guanella to never stop in helping the poor and in valorising people.
The meeting of sharing, celebration, study and prayer will take place in the Parish of Corpus Domini al Bandino, led by the young Guanellian parish priest Don Antonio De Masi. Over two hundred young people from all over Italy will participate, accompanied by priests, nuns and lay leaders from the various Guanellian communities.
The first day of reception, complete with a typical Florentine dinner and musical evening, will be followed by a day characterized by five training workshops with themes based respectively on truth, justice, freedom, love and peace: «The dangers of the internet and fake news», testimony by Andrea Fagioli, director of Toscana Oggi; «The figure and educational method of Don Lorenzo Milani», visit with testimony from the Il Samaritano community which welcomes people as an alternative to detention; «The gift from the heart», testimony of the Fratres association and raising awareness of blood donation; «The figure of the prof. Giorgio La Pira», historical testimonies and visit to the Isolotto district. Then, after dinner, the variety show «Tonight anything can happen» at the Reims Theatre.
