Italy is the country in which fewer and fewer children are being born (439 thousand in 2018, around 18 thousand less than in 2017, 130 thousand compared to ten years ago). And fewer and fewer children are being born also because very few people get married (despite the 4.500 more marriages in 2018 compared to 2017). And with few marriages and very few births it is inevitable that there will be fewer and fewer young people (those aged 16 to 34 have decreased by one million and 200 thousand from 2008 to today).
In Europe the situation is even more tragic.
