Preghiamo perché le Nazioni procedano a un effettivo disarmo, in particolare al disarmo nucleare, e perché i leader mondiali scelgano la via del dialogo e della diplomazia anziché la violenza.

A tutti i podestà e consoli, magistrati e reggitori ovunque, e a tutti coloro a cui giungerà questa lettera, frate Francesco, vostro servo nel Signore Dio, piccolo e disprezzato, augura salute e pace.
Ricordate e pensate che il giorno della morte si avvicina. Vi supplico allora, con rispetto per quanto posso, di non dimenticare il Signore, presi come siete dalle cure e dalle preoccupazioni del mondo. Obbedite ai suoi comandamenti, poiché tutti quelli che dimenticano il Signore e si allontanano dalle sue leggi sono maledetti e saranno dimenticati da lui. E quando verrà il giorno della morte, tutte quelle cose che credevano di avere saranno loro tolte. without ever losing strength and hope.

Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer you through the Heart

in union with the Eucharistic Sacrifice, prayers and actions,
the joys and sufferings of this day, in reparation for sins,

Let us pray that Christians living in contexts of war or conflict, especially in the Middle East, may be seeds of peace, reconciliation, and hope.
Intention of the BISHOPS
We pray to you, Lord, for Christians who have distanced themselves from the Church: may they return to the sacramental life to discover the beauty and saving power of the signs of your grace.
Christian compassion was manifested in a peculiar way in the care of the sick
and of the suffering. In the act of healing a wound,
the Church announces that the Kingdom of God
It starts among the most vulnerable. And in doing so,
remains faithful to the one who said: "I was sick and you visited me" (Mt 25:36).
When the Church kneels beside a leper,
to a malnourished child or to an anonymous dying person, he realizes his deepest vocation:
to love the Lord where he is most disfigured."

Let us pray that we, believers of different religious traditions, may work together to defend and promote peace, justice, and human brotherhood.

We pray to you, Lord, for the synodal journey of the Churches in Italy: may our communities be capable of listening and sharing in order to make courageous and prophetic choices.
Every person needs a "center" to their life, a source of truth and goodness from which to draw to face the various situations and struggles of daily life. Each of us, when we are silent, needs to hear not only the beating of our own heart, but also, more profoundly, the beating of a reliable presence, perceptible to the senses of faith and yet much more real: the presence of Christ, the Heart of the world.
